Press Release 2025

Lancashire Festival returns to Preston this summer

Preston’s beloved Lancashire Festival is set to make a grand return to Miller Park on Saturday, 19th July 2025, offering a day brimming with live music, captivating performances, and family-friendly activities.

Now in its sixth year, the Lancashire Festival has firmly established itself as a highlight in the region’s cultural calendar. With an affordable entry fee of just £5, attendees can enjoy a diverse lineup of entertainment all day.

The festival is committed to inclusivity, as it donates numerous free tickets to local community groups and individuals facing financial hardship, ensuring everyone can partake in the festivities.

This year’s musical lineup features local talents such as Delayed Intentions, an indie pop/rock band known for their crowd-pleasing covers; Lucas Williams, a rising solo musician making waves in the local scene; Rhea Scholfield, a versatile vocalist performing hits from across the decades; and Em-Lou, a Preston-based singer returning after a well-received debut last year.

Beyond music, the festival promises a variety of entertainment and activities. Attendees can look forward to breathtaking aerial circus performances by Cirque Fit, jaw-dropping street entertainment from stilt walkers and fire performers, and interactive circus workshops. Additionally, ‘Let’s Grow Preston’ will host seed sowing workshops to encourage attendees to cultivate their own food this summer. The event will be hosted by former BBC radio presenter John Gillmore, bringing his signature charm to the stage.

The festival operates with minimal external funding or council support, relying on ticket sales, trader pitch fees, and sponsorships to sustain its vibrant offerings. This year, an estimated £12,000 is required to keep the festival running smoothly. Local businesses, sponsors, and volunteers are encouraged to get involved, whether through sponsorship, volunteering, performing, or simply attending and spreading the word.

The festival is organised by Joshua Holden from Wolf Entertainments in Preston who is a renowned entertainer and circus performer in the area who hosts regular family workshops helping develop theatre and performance talent in Lancashire, says:

“I’m really excited to announce details of this years Lancashire Festival, we’ve been working hard since last year’s event to make 2025 even bigger and better than ever before. The support from the local community is incredible and we’re really grateful for everyone’s support which has enabled us to add even more into this year’s lineup.”

“We always ensure our festival is welcoming and inclusive to all members of the community, so we can’t wait to welcome everyone for superb fun-packed day of family fun on the 19th of July.”

Mollie Elise Aesthetics of Chorley has been announced as the headline sponsor for 2025, reflecting her dedication to excellence and support for community initiatives. Additional sponsorship has been provided by The Continental and independent local radio station Central Radio who often feature local community news and events.
